2020 - It's a wrap!!
2020 was a big year for us all, but now it's over, so sit back, relax and while you're there take a look at some of the things we got up to...
In January we held our annual Summer Project 'In a Curious Garden'
At the start of Term 1 we tried our hand at body percussion
and held a graduation for Youth Leaders Ilham, Zahra and Jai
Then, along came COVID and we responded with youth-led initiatives
During the first lockdown we delivered weekly online programmes
and Mixit Alumni Squad made an epic lockdown web series
When we were allowed out again we held a very special Mixit Dawn Observation led by Pita Turei
Then had our annual Youth Leader retreat at Whale Bay
T3 took us on the road around Tāmaki Makaurau
Then things changed again so we found ways to continue our trips from home
and when it was safe we managed Level 2.5 restrictions by holding simultaneous sessions across 3 maunga
Some of the team undertook a research project across Aotearoa
Then we danced our way through Term 4
one of our favourites was salsa!!!
At the end of the year we all came together to celebrate the end of 2020
and to wish Ilknur, MuNyay and Younis well as they graduated from our Youth Leadership Programme
