Izadine joined Mixit as a teenager who was shy and un-confident but wanted to find positive ways to step up in his life. Mixit gave him the platform to find his voice and he quickly started to fly. He’s a great ambassador for Mixit, always encouraging other young people to come along and join the crew. Izadine loves Spoken Word Poetry and is always up for a dance. Now he has left school he's started studying Business Development and has his sights on making his entrepreneurial dreams a reality

Batanai is an emerging professional artist who has worked in a range of roles since graduating from Toi Whakaari as an actor. She has been employed as a performer in theatre, film, on dance projects and as an AD in the film industry. She was a creative coach on a Mixit summer project FRESH EYES and the Assistant Director on the JUMP CUT summer project in 2019. Batanai brings an undeniable energy and drive to the Mixit floor, has the loudest voice which stops the room and can sing right up there with the best of the divas.

Oscar comes from a performing arts family, who discovered Mixit at one of our outdoor site-specific performance events. Oscar immediately jumped in with his irrepressible brand of enthusiastic energy and willingness. He’s always ready to leap into any creative direction – be it dance, acting or music. It’s not if he will jump but simply how high and like - now? Oscar stayed with Mixit through his teenage years and continues to bounce back around his various international travels. He’s passionate about theatre and sharing the joy of creativity with others. These days he’s also undertaking a degree in Environmental studies and continues to be a vibrant member of the Mixit Alumni squad.

Munashe was brought along to Mixit when she was mid-way through a Performing Arts Degree. She immediately felt at home and recognised this could be her new fam. A performer and singer who loves music and dance, Munashe has performed on both stage and screen. She has also branched out and developed some business skills and is interested in growing these in tandem with her creativity. Munashe has a cheeky sense of humour and lights up the room whenever she crosses the threshold.

Meg worked with Mixit for the first time on the 2019 summer project JUMP CUT as a creative coach. She is from an acting background, and recently graduated from Toi Whakaari. Her range of teaching experience is diverse: putting on plays with primary school drama classes, working with kids right through to adults as an acting coach for short films, teaching yoga classes and leading musical theatre workshops. Meg brings a calm steady focus to the Mixit floor, along with her quirky courageous creative flair.

Kaviesha read about Mixit in her local paper as a teenager and ventured into the project determined to find opportunities for herself and her sister. She has always been involved with traditional Sri Lankan dance and discovered at Mixit the stimulation of different kinds of contemporary art forms and never looked back. She initially thought she would go into the sciences, but after a degree and time working in a lab decided it wasn’t for her. She’s now training to be a Primary School teacher and loves it. Kaviesha brings focus and commitment to the Mixit floor along with her own unique brand of inspiring creativity.
