Alumni Success Stories: Zahra Habibi
Mixit Alumni Zahra Habibi has always been interested in creativity, whether it's drama, music, or making art. For our latest Alumni success story Zahra talked to us about some of the artworks she made in Year 13.
I become interested in art in year 9, it was my first time taking art as a subject. I decided to take art till year 13 not only because I loved art but it help me to increase my rank score for university entrance. Now I'm studying bachelor of Pharmacy at the University of Auckland and also I am working part time at Rainbows End.
For my NCEA Art works, I loved to introduce and bring my religion as an element in my painting, as well as abstract building with different perspective.
Some advice that I will give young people who are willing to participate in creative activity is to never be afraid to come out their comfort zone and try new things.
